Castle Cote - Alcázar de Montellano

History

Cotte The villa was won by Fernando III in 1240 by a covenant with his people. Description and features


The Cote fortified consists of two concentric walled enclosures. Outside, about 300 meters above sea level, delimiting the medieval village, and outside, upper bounds, protected the castle.

Condition

Protection

Under the protection of the general declaration of the Decree of April 22, 1949, and Law 16/1985 on English Historical Heritage. In 1993 the Andalusian gave special recognition to the castles of the autonomous community of Andalusia.
