End of year again, how fast it happened, and how much things happened in such a short time. A year
strained and forced, in which every effort was focused on achieving our greatest dreams, and with luck we can begin to envision today.
A year without variation, but with serious worsening political situation in Venezuela continued to shake us so fierce, full of threats and destruction of all that we believed essential to life, a year in which taught us once again that this is not the same country as they promised us, leaving our expectations well above the hard reality, for years now. All topped with massive and shameless enrichment of those close to the government, while companies bankrupt and banks are closed.
A year in which he showed us the challenge to continue working on the construction of family relationships, which are as fragile as glass and extremely valuable, and relying at this stage of adulthood, only the respect that we get to our fathers, brothers, nephews, and brothers, and obviously the affection that we remember and deliver.
A year in which the threat of inflation and economic catastrophe has not materialized in all its horror predicted by many, but definitely hit us hard, and seems to worsen every day.
A year in which there were no dollars to anyone only for those who are very connected. A year in which no cars were sold in the country because there was not as produced or imported, in which credit cards were used on the outside, where several companies were expropriated in the public sector services were not always paid.
A year that showed us how hard it may be the reaction of the government and public authorities on their knees, against those who openly protest and oppose their designs. People prey discredited rulers stripped of their power and resources, use of public means of coercion to intimidate and abuse of power.
A year in which more than two days a week we had no running water in our pipes, and electricity failed because their production is not enough for everyone.
A year in which they worked hard, and that work had performance and fruits, many projects and satisfaction and it was shown that the will-though not the only factor, is an indispensable weapon to take forward work projects .
A year in the family and friends were close, which is infinitely grateful.
One year of medical challenges, which kept us in suspense, and hopefully overcome all. There
parties, and celebrations of all kinds, as only Venezuelans we do, there was time for theater, music, art, reading and a trip out of town.
On this occasion, at times it runs and 2009, and although as always is one to count to meet the rite of passage of the "Happy New Year", I can only look forward, I can only think of the future I do not care to look back and not just a cliche, not an exercise in optimism-nothing-is common in my novel.
Goodbye 2009 and welcome 2010.
